GDPR - Protection of your Data

Privacy Notice & GDPR Statement

Last Updated: 26/08/2025

At Excelixis Education, I take your privacy seriously. I’m a one-person business offering English language tutoring, not a company that trades in data. I only collect and keep the information I need to provide my services properly, and I’ll never use your details for anything unnecessary.

What I don't do

  • I don't use cookies to track you on this website
  • I don’t sell, rent, or share your information with advertisers or other third parties.
  • I don’t keep data that I don’t need.

When I do collect information

I only collect personal data in two situations:

  1. When you contact me – If you fill out a form, send me an email, or call me, I’ll need your contact details so I can reply.
  2. When you become a customer – I’ll need a few details so I can provide lessons and comply with UK law:
    • Contact details (e.g. email, phone number, or online meeting details).
    • Name and address (for billing purposes, as required by HMRC).

How I use and store your information

  • Your details are used only for lesson arrangements, communication, and billing.
  • Your details will be shared with HMRC as required by law.
  • Otherwise, I won’t share your information with anyone unless the law or law enforcement requires it.
  • Data is stored either locally on a secure computer or, if backed up online, protected with encryption and appropriate safeguards.

How long I keep your data

I’ll keep customer records for as long as required by law (e.g. for HMRC records). For general enquiries, I’ll delete your details once the conversation is finished if no lessons are booked.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

Ask me what personal data I hold about you.

Request a copy of that data.

Ask me to correct, delete, or restrict how I use it (within the limits of the law).

Withdraw consent where it applies.

If you’d like to exercise any of these rights, just get in touch.
